Heathrow Airport Limited (HAL) has to have it's public consultation.
- Add your name to Friends of The Earth Petition
to Stop Aviation Expansion :-
- 20/6/26 - Hillingdon Council remains firmly opposed
to any airport expansion.
No3rdRunway Coalition meetings (Facebook) and press
- 16/6/26 - Attended the CISHA
Forum meeting where Thomas Wolbye - CEO of Heathrow Airport Limited said ..if I had the money, I'd want to buy (the 3rdRunway houses) tomorrow.
- However he hasn't any money ie. Heathrow is in debt to the tune of at least £14 billion!!
How can he afford to buy:-
- 783 homes in the CPZ?
- 5500 homes in the outer Compulsory Purchase Area affected by unbearable noise, pollution, etc that would leave 17,000 people homeless?
- All these hundreds of businesses in the existing 3rdRunway footprint?
- Compensate the 10,000 workers who will probably loose their existing jobs in the 3rdRunway footprint area, eg. a local pub will close, not move, and all its staff, cooks, suppliers will be unemployed?
- 21/7/26 - Attend Heathrow's Longford Neighbourhood Group meeting - Heathrow is in so much trouble with locals Mental Health and Wellbeing
in preparation to go though and correct Heathrow's draft consultation documents - Heathrow expect free slave labour from us to reduce the anxiety and stress of local recipients receiving more paraphernalia from Heathrow!
- 9/7/26 - Then attended our MP, John McDonnell's informative and packed out local meeting
where Paul Beckford from the No 3rd Runway Coalition spoke and handed us these:-
a. Response Guides for the consultation on Heathrow Expansion National Policy Statement (HENPS)
b. The No 3rd Runway Coalition guide to Climate Impacts of Heathrow Expansion
c. The Aviation NGO's 4 Tests
How to respond:-
It’s important that as many people as possible respond to the consultation in their own way. Remember you do not have to answer every question and please use this guide to focus on the issues that matter most to you.
You can respond by
filling in the online form (if you pass their robot secutity check!),
or
via email: henpsconsultation@dft.gov.uk (when responding to the consultation by email, please copy in your MP and councillors)
or
in writing to: Airports National Policy Statement Review Team, Great Minster House, 33 Horseferry Road, London, SW1P 4DR.
The full range of consultation documents and options for responding can be found here.
On Thursday 18th June, under cover of the Makerfield by-election, the government quietly released its public consultation for the Heathrow Expansion National Policy Statement. It's hard to grasp the scale of what is planned - the equivalent of building another Gatwick airport next to Heathrow in London, and requiring the M25 to be rerouted. Despite this, the brief consultation will only run until 1st September, while MPs and the public are off on their summer holidays.
- 14/7/26 Attend Aroras Heathrow West Consultation in Colnbrook this afternoon where they just
displayed stuff from their last consultation (in 2018?).
- Read and understand and fill out Heathrows
Land Referencing Survey that they not only posted to all affected residents but disturb us by knocking on our doors to fill them in - even though we all filled them in years ago in (2018?) and the DCO doesn't require the forms for another 2 years.
And of course replace Lamppost signs in Harmondsworth, comment on social media, emails, websites...
- There's a public AEF
webinar meeting

- Thurs 23rd July 2026 Big Heathrow expansion public meeting in Twickenham tonight
with Richmond Council, Ruth Cadbury MP, Munira Wilson MP, Sarah Olney MP, Cllr Gareth Roberts, Cllr Julia Neden-Watts and Cllr Phil Geisler,
- The event on Thursday 23 July will give residents
the opportunity to discuss the latest government consultation on Heathrow Expansion National Policy Statement (HENPS) – where they can ask questions and share how the proposals could impact their homes, health and quality of life.
Councillor Gareth Roberts, Leader of Richmond Council, said: “Heathrow expansion would be a huge backwards step for our borough. A third runway would mean more aircraft overhead, worse air quality, higher carbon emissions and even more pressure on communities that already live with the daily impact of what is already Europe’s busiest airport.
Stay Grounded have a new toolkit : Legal avenues to challenge airport expansion!

heathrow expects us beleagured residents to do this full time stressful unpaid voluntary job !!
The stress - having to read all this, understand and respond to all these surveys, consultations, meeting... Heathrow must pay us! Each respondent must get at least an all-inclusive holiday to Bermuda to relax away from these problems... or pay us cash at the rate of Thomas Wolbye's salary plus perks! My neighbour said he doesn't know if its Heathrow, the balifs, water or electricity companies, or Landlord or Council tax or who is banging on his door - stress and anxiety doesn't even come close to describing the pressure on us all - who just cant face going outside, let alone to work!
The Times and Telegraph have both reported that as usual, heathrow is dragging its feet in offering therapy to 3rdRunway residents!
